Those who stopped using the carrier but still had a small/young baby?

Sorry if this is a stupid question...
What do you do with your DC when you're food shopping? Do you have them sit in the front of the cart?

My girls were big, but I don't see what would be different if they were smaller. we stopped using the carrier at 4 months and we would put them in the stroller in the front seat. Before the could sit well I would set my diaper bag next to them to help them sit. By 5 months old my girls could sit and needed no support.

at 5.5 months mine would sit in cart...it was a beautiful day when that happened. life got so much easier

OK. My dd sits fine by herself so I guess there shouldnt be a problem. She is 8 months but very small for her age so I was afraid she wouldnt fit in right. I will be trying it later.

We have been putting Nina in the front of the cart since 6 months. We use a floppy seat cover and when she was smaller we would just stuff something on the side to keep her from moving too much. Now she is just fine in it.

I have a Boppy seat cover that I use and put Rylan in the cart. I've been doing it for a while now.
