Those who used the ROCK AND PLAY SLEEPER..
DD is almost 5 months and i need to transition her to her crib. She has slept in the rock and play since birth. The past 4 weeks are the first time she has slept through the night. before that she was up every 2 hours. i do not want to ruin a good thing but i need to transition her because i found her on her belly in it this morning (sleeping soundly by the way) and then i found her sitting upright in it (she basically did a sit up and was so happy that she was no longer reclined). i think it is officially time to retire it but i'm so scared it is going to ruin the good sleep we have all been getting and i CANNOT go back to waking all night. Her first 4 months i was a zombie from zero sleep and a toddler. please tell me how the transition went.

Re: Those who used the ROCK AND PLAY SLEEPER..
jack sleeps in the rock and play sleeper from time to time - if we go somewhere over night (for 1 night). He sleeps really well but goes right back into the crib without a problem.
the only problem i see would be the lack of incline - BUT she might do better without since she can move more freely!
im sure she will do fine! Jack still naps in the R&P sleeper also, no problems going into the crib to nap from time to time

Re: Those who used the ROCK AND PLAY SLEEPER..
My DS only sleeps in this too, he is 4 months. I tried the other night to put him our cosleeper (I wanna use it, was so much !! He was up a bunch of times I know that is not the answer you want to hear but we also did not swaddle our DS which he still likes so that could be a contributing factor.
Maybe try it for naps during the day and then once she is good with that, switch to night time as well? Maybe use an incline in the crib? Hopefully you won't have any problems

Re: Those who used the ROCK AND PLAY SLEEPER..
We transitioned Albert out of the ROck & Play at around 4 months. He owould kick until he was practically hanging out of the bottom, he would grab the side and try to turn himself. I started putting him into his crib for naps the first 2 weeks then started putting him in it to sleep overnight. He transitioned pretty well. He likes to turn himself and curl up like a little ball so I think somtimes he misses the coziness of the Rock 7 play.
When he was sick we had to use a FP Rocker I got him and it's similar to the Rock & play but that waws only becasue he was congested. He soes nap pretty well in that. The Rock & Play had to be completely retired though

Re: Those who used the ROCK AND PLAY SLEEPER..
I was totally stressed about transitioning DD from the rock n play sleeper to her crib too but I found her fully sitting up in it a few times and a few other times, trying to push herself out We didn't even use the thing for too long (probably about 6 weeks bc we didn't know about it. I actually "discovered" here it ion lif. We ended up transitioning her into the crib at about 5.5 months (probably should've done it sooner) and she was fine within the first two nights. I think she liked the extra room in the crib. I'm not sure if your using for reflux issues like we were but if you are, try some blankets underneath crib mattress for a little elevation. I did this for about a month and a half and got rid of it bc she ended rolling to the other end of the crib most of the time Sorry for the super long reply but I completely know what your going through. We were getting literally 2-3 hours of sleep a night before this thing with DD who was having some serious reflux issues at the time, also have a toddler and were so excited to discover the rock n play. So i totally get why your apprehensive about the transition. Good luck!
