those with multiple pets....
what types of animals do you have? all the same or different? do they all get along? do they have cliques?
i have 3 dogs and 2 cats that live at home with me. i am, however, getting a 4th pup soon.
they all get along which is awesome. the older cat is still shy but bringing in a kitten pretty recently (march) has really brought him back into a more social guy. they def have cliques though. tink & lukin (2 dogs) are a def clik. and Dharma & Tuesday (dog and kitten) are the other. its pretty funny how that happens!!!!!

Our 4 kitties definitely have cliques. It keeps us laughing.
We have an orange male tabby who all the other kitties love. He is our little peacemaker and a total mush. The girls love him, our youngest male cat follows him around. All the other kitties have issues with each other.

Re: those with multiple pets....
we have a dog & a cat.
I had Bella (the cat, she's 10) before I knew Dh , and was living with my parents. We had already had a dog at Dh's
I was surprised that my mom didnt want the cat when I moved out so I took her but I was so nervous bc Murray & Bella had never met.
It didnt go well the first couple of weeks. Now, 2 years later, they tolerate eachother. Sometimes Murray chases her, sometimes Bella whacks him out of nowhere . They will never be friends

Re: those with multiple pets....
we "only" have 2 - but recently we had a foster cat
and it was amazing how she would start with Maggie and my other cat would stick up for Maggie and go after her
they united against the poor foster cat

Re: those with multiple pets....
We have a dog and a cat...it took them a month or so to get used to each other, but they are fine now. I'd love to get another dog, but we like big dogs and I worry about upsetting the balance if we got another dog.

We have two cats and a dog.
We adopted the cats together because they were sisters and didn't want to seperate them and we introduced the pup about a year later. The dog loves them and always wants to play, but they pretty much stick together and gang up against him! I feel so bad, but when we get a bigger place we're going to get another dog - and balance the gang out a little

Re: those with multiple pets....
We have a dog and a cat. We had our cat for 9 years and we got our dog almost 2 years ago. It took them some time to get used to each other and now they are the funniest watching them run after each other and play. One will usually instigate something and then it would all break lose. But they are great friends.

Re: those with multiple pets....
We have a dog and a cat. They are both males and they get along great. We had Mugsy (cat) for 3 years before we got Murphy (puppy)...for the first few weeks the cat kind of kept himself scarce only coming out of the bedroom when the dog was sleeping, but now after a year of them being together they play together and chase each other around the house...
