those with short bobs...how do you style it?

I hate my hair. I just got a trim and I wish I didn't . I'm trying to grow my hair to about my shoulders. I needed a trim though to keep it healthy. I just hate how short it is and I have a side bang that I'm growing out too! How can I wear my hair? I feel so "plain jane" wearing it down , tucked behind my ears.

Here is how I wear mine when it is short and when it is a little longer. Lately though I just pin back the bangs but I don't tuck it behind my ears.

you have great hair! mine...not so much. Oh well...I hate growing out hair! I was so close to seriously chopping it off too. I almost wish I had!

to freshen up my short look...(im also growing out bob).. i use my 2 inch curling iron to give it some body. i get a lot of compliments! i keep the 'underneath' straighter, and the top layer with more body.

Here are some pics..I know what you mean, but until it grows, there's not much you can do..hang in there!
Edited to say..it's looking flatter in these than it actually is, but maybe curling it up a bit and playing up your side bang?

OMG when I first saw this thread I thought it said- Those with short BOOBS.
I was like

I have small boobs and all, but I never thought of them as "short"

Instead of tucking it behind your ears bobby pin it off your face with cute bobby pins.

Or headbands - I love headbands with short hair... any age.

I part mine on the side..my hair is cut longer in the front than the back..so that helps add style to it.

I have the same issue. I hate my recent hairstyle.. I am desperately trying to grow it out. In the meantime, I just pin back my long bangs (which are not long at all) with bobby pins or snap clips. I pull it back in one of those puff looking hairstyles. So annoying, but for now its going to have to work.

I HATEHATHATE!! having hair in my eyes, so I absolutely love the bobby pins. I usually twist the sides before pinning them back. I love headbands too.

I also wanted to tell you that if it is a struggle for you do or is taking a while to dry it then I don't think you received a good haircut.
My first haircut was the one I posted in the green shirt. It was a great hair cut. I lasted me 4 months and you didn't even notice. It just grew in so nicely. The second time he cut it, he didn't texture it enough and after 7 weeks I was have such a hard time doing anything with it and it took me such a long time to style. Then I cut it again in Oct. and that picture in the red is from Christmas. I told him what was wrong and he really texturized it a lot and it is growing in so nicely. If you wanted to try him out he is in Bayside.
