Thought you'd like this...
Teacher Debbie Moon's first graders were discussing a picture of a family One little boy in the picture had a different hair color than the other members. One of her students suggested that he was adopted.
A little girl said, 'I know all about adoption, I was adopted..'
'What does it mean to be adopted?', asked another child.
'It means', said the girl, 'that you grew in your mommy's heart instead of her tummy!'

love it! theres also a poem that has a line similar to that.something like "never forget for a single minute that you didn't grow under my heart, but in it" i plan on using it on our baby announcements when we adopt

Re: Thought you'd like this...
I lurk on here from time to time because DH was adopted and it's somehting we think about
Oprh once had a best mother contest, and this Korean girl submitted her story and won (she brought her mom there saying she had tickets to the Oprah show - and surprised here there with the best mom contest!!! )
What I loved was the girl said - when she was little, she asked her mom, who was Caucasian, why she looked so different. Her mom said that she prayed to God to find her the best child in the world for her to love. God searched all over the world to find the most perfect little child, and found her in Korea.
