Thoughtful gift for Dr. who delivered my boys...
I think this was posted on the PG board a few weeks ago, but I wanted to ask here.
I REALLY want to get something special for my OB/GYN. She delivered both of my boys and has been there for me (us) throughout my ordeal with my Endometriosis, bleeding throughout my PG's, surgeries, etc., and supposedly not being able to get PG again. I have seen her numerous times just to talk and she has always been supportive of my decisions, etc. and pretty much about everything. My practice has a lot of doctors and she's always the one I make appts with. She's such a great doctor. She's so personable yet professional all at the same time. She says I'm her favorite patient and was just as determined to deliver my son as I was. I've been through a lot these past few years and she's made them so much easier to get through.
Anyway, enough of the rambling, but I want to get her something from my family to her that really means a lot. Can anyone help us out? I'd like to give it to her at my 6 week PP checkup. Thanks so much ladies!

Thats so thoughtful - but she sounds like a great Dr who deserves it. Can you ask the receptionists things she likes? MAssge, bottle of wine, new briefcase, maybe she 'collects' things, small coach keychain( or more if you want to spend more $$$)...

I think she'd most appreciate a picture of Caiden holding Connor. That's what my OB asked for (I have a similar relationship). I brought her office a big tray of bakery cookies and I wrote a hearfelt thank you and gave it to her w/ the pic. She really seemed touched.
If you have your heart set on getting her a tangible gift, maybe a gift certificate to a local spa or nice restaurant so she can enjoy some time "alone".

Re: Thoughtful gift for Dr. who delivered my boys...
I gave my ob a picture of her holding Luka after he was all cleaned up and bundled and brought it along with my birth announcement and she seemed to really appreciate it. I didnt notice alot of pictures so I dont think alot of people send them to her. What about those tri-fold picture frames (not sure if you have pictuers of her holding them but if you) one can be of her and Caiden then the middle can be Caiden holding Conner and then her holding Conner and maybe a manicure and pedicure? I noticed to the few practices I went to that they really seemed to appreciate the pictures and thankyou letters from their patients.

Re: Thoughtful gift for Dr. who delivered my boys...
I want to get my doctor (my regular OB) and the one who delivered me a gift also. They are both men so I am having a hard time thinking of something each of them... any ideas? I am planning on getting something from Harry & David's for the office staff.

I gave my doctor a gift certifcate to Abel Conklins (a restaurant in Huntington) for my first daughter and a gift certificate to Mill Pond House (a restaurant in Centerport).
These are his two favorite restaurants. Maybe call the office and see if they know where she eats.
