thoughts on asking for a bottle
So Talia wont drink milk out of a sippy cup - I have tried EVERYTHING.
Because she is so small (weight wise) I have been giving her one bottle a day - at night before bed. This way I know she is getting some dairy (although she is a good eater she doesnt love cheese, yogurt, etc...) and she is getting the fat she needs.
Well all of a sudden she is having a total meltdown in the morning and asking me for a bottle - not every day but every three days maybe....
WHY?? she hasnt had a bottle in the morning for at least 8 or 9 months.
Do you think it is soothing for her teeth (she is getting some in right now) - i dont know - would love some insight :) TIA!

Re: thoughts on asking for a bottle
Could definitely be teething... I know when Alex is teething she wants her paci 24/7. She usually has it only for her naptime or bedtime, so when she starts asking for it during the day, I know something's off. If the bottle is a comfort item for her, she probably wants it when she's feeling off, like when she's teeting.

I agree...it probably soothes her and makes her feel a little better. My DD was like that with her bottles. They just instantly calmed her. But, even now with the sippy cups, the milk really soothes her...

Re: thoughts on asking for a bottle
yes recently Antonio has become obsessed with milk...everytime you ask him what he wants he asks for "milk".
We call it the "white thing" because just the mention of it sends him into a frenzy. Just like you I am having a really hard time cutting out the bottle. To make matters worse he has stopped drinking water! Now I'm afraid he is going to dehydrate in the summer.
