Thoughts on weekday bday parties
DDs bday is coming up. I'm thinking of having the party at a kids cooking place. The majority of kids go to preK with her from 9-12. Obviously, most of the moms don't work.
Would it be ok to have the part at 330 or so on a weekday?

It sounds like it would be fine for the kids in her pre-k, but if you want to invite family and other friends, it might not work for them. It might be hard to make it at that time due to work, travel, school, etc.

if they have older siblings 3:30 may be a bad time.. its usually a time when kids are coming home from school. if you know for sure they don't have older siblings that would be ok...

For me it would be a pain, since I have an older siblings who needs to be picked up from school and get his homework done and such. If you do a weekday, I think 5pm is more convenient for moms who have older kids. My prek son just had a 5pm weekday party. I was able to ge tmy older son home, homework done and brought to a playdate so my younger son can attend.

LOVE weekday parties since they don't tie up the weekends, which we are usually busy on. I would do a later time though, maybe 5 or 5:30

As a working mom, I'd hate it, but I guess if they are all SAHMs then it doesn't matter.
