Three Day Method for POtty Training -- A couple of questions for BTDT moms
So, we're on day two of the three day method-- the one where you wear underware and use rewards and only put them on the potty/toilet if they ask to go or in the middle of going.. and I have a couple of questions.
DD pretty much only tells me as she is going or a second before she goes.. so I have been using the potty in the play room we are barricaded in =) but I would rather her learn to use the actual toilet in the bathroom, any tips on how to achieve this?
Also-- I would like to take her out on day 4- but I don't know how to handle that- do I bring a porta potty with me ? or should I hold off on going out for a while longer?
Also, sometimes DD just wants to sit on the potty all the time in case she goes bc she wants to get her reward- chocolate-- I hate telling her to get off the potty, when she does that but I also don't want to have her sitting on it forever.. I was thinking of changing the reward to a sticker or something but am afraid she may do the same thing lol.

POtty Training and Three Day Method-- A couple of questions.
if she's starting to get it, start raising the price for getting the reward ... so instead of giving her chocolate every time she sits on the potty, give her chocolate when she actually pees in the potty.
she'll still sit on the potty all day if you just change to stickers

This. She gets the chocolate when she actually goes.
On the day 4 we went to Bronx Zoo and DS did awesome. No accidents. He went potty before we got in the car and once there. We never used a diaper/pull up after that.

I did only give it to her when she actually went but she wants to sit on it hoping she will go eventually and get the chocolate lol.
What did you use for a potty when you went out on day 4? DD pretty much says she has to go either a second before she goes or as she is going.. I don't even hae enough time to take her to the bathroom so I have kept the potty in the play room where I am staying with her.

Three Day Method for POtty Training -- A couple of questions for BTDT moms
Get her to the bathroom when she starts going - not a potty in the playroom. The first few days DD only told me as she was going - not before. Took until about day 5 to really get it down. I highly recommend the Pottete Plus for travel. The first few weeks they are trained they can't hold it very long.

I agree what everyone else says- you need to have her go to the bathroom, not bring the bathroom to her. And if she still has some accidents while on the way there, that's fine! She's still learning. As for bringing her out- try short trips first and look out for how shes acting- usually they get a certain look on their face right before they have to go..lol. I think I actually went for a longer trip on the fifth day, when I knew that she was communicating better. Good luck though!
