Tilt Table Test?
I have been having dizzy/lightheaded spells and as a result the cardiologist I went to wants me to do a tilt table test. I have had an EKG and an echocardiogram and they both came back normal. She does think I may have vasovagal syncope. I am really nervous about this test. I was told about it at the office and have researched more online and on one hand I really want to do it to find out if this is the cause of my dizziness so I can treat it, but on the other hand I also have been experiencing anxiety issues. I think I am going to give myself a panic attack before this test even starts!! I am petrified of passing out. I have never passed out before, but I have come close and the thought of doing something to bring that feeling on and possibly lead me to lose consciousness makes me feel sick! I don't know what to do. If you have had this test, or know someone who has, and you can share the experience I would really appreciate it!!!

Re: Tilt Table Test?
Have had this test too (really what test haven't i had recently) wasn't all that pleasant but it wasn't horrible. My mom has had it done too. We both have mild cases of this condition but my light headedness is associated more with my anxiety (it comes along with other anxiety symptoms). You'll be fine!! You probably will not pass out but just tell the tech if you are feeling faint/not feeling well. Good luck!
