Time for a 4 year old B-Day party during 4th of July Weekend?
DS's birthday is during the beginning of July and I was thinking of holding it on Saturday July 3rd but I'm worried most peole will already have plans and no one will show up.
Since school is over by then, should I schedule it maybe that Friday early evening or just hold off and hold it the following weekend July 10th OR do it the weekend before his birthday.
This is his first real bithday party and I don't want to upset him if a lot of the families already have plans.
Any ideas?

I'd poll people you definitely want at the party and see if they'll be in town the holiday weekend....and then you could give them enough notice that you're having the party that day.
I'm debating July 3rd also (DD's b-day is the week prior) and plan on doing the same thing...I'm due with a week before DD's b-day so that complicates things too, I can't really do her party early.

DD's bday is July 7th (mine is July 5)...seems like a lot of friends were always away for my birthday weekend. Last year we had DD's bday on the 4th of July (but it was only family). First year we had DD's birthday on July 5 (a Sat) & had over 75 people...I think if you give them advance notice, it should be fine. I'd definitely poll some people, like family.
