Tips for Cleaning Woman?
Just curious, do you guys tip your cleaning women? I probably would around the holidays. I'm asking today though because it is her first day here, and she has spent a lot of time cleaning our house (it's in desperate need)!
At the same time, I don't want her to expect a tip every week. Suggestions?

No-- I pay them what they tell me is an appropriate amount to clean my house on a regular basis. Holidays I get a little gift for them.

Thanks! I decided not to today--she probably knew today would be the worst, I'm sure it's not unusual for the first visit to take a long time.
Not sure what other people do though, so thanks for the replies!

does she work through an agency or for herself, mine works for herself so no i do not tip her, her pay is all hers
if its for an agency and you feel one week she did above and beyond the normal then yes i would give her a tip
