tips for ttc?
Do you have any tips for TTC? Though we've been trying we haven't had any luck so I'm hoping to see if maybe i'm missing something. I saw the drinking more water post and that got me to thinking...

Re: tips for ttc?
Are you using OPK's ? I would recommend going that route if you haven't already.
To increase CM you can eat baby carrots and drink lots of water. To think out CM you already have, you can trying taking Robitussin (regular, not with any special letters after it).
I always stayed still for 30-minutes after we BD'd too - with my hips propped up a little bit.

Re: tips for ttc?
- OPK - BD before and after ovulation - Don't get up too early after BD. Lay down with a pillow below you.

Re: tips for ttc?
There is a plan a few of the girls on here have used. I will find it for you...

A few questions: do you have a normal cycle. How long is it? Do you know what day you ovulate?

Re: tips for ttc?
this month i followed i believe what was called "deanna's plan" --- start bding day 8 of your cycle - every other night.... start testing with an OPK on day 10 ----- and once a positive OPK --- bd three nights in a row, skip a day and then one more day ---- also try and take a dose of robitussen (make sure it is just the exporant kind or mucinex) - it will mame your CM more sperm friendly!!
good luck and to you!

What are OPKs? Thanks for the plan- I forgot to add in this that I have PCOS and don't have a normal cycle at all. And my DH is a die hard Christian and won't consider IVF or any other "science" type ideas. His motto is that if it's supposed to happen, God will allow it to.

Re: tips for ttc?
OPK are Ovulation Predictor Kit. You will find them where the pregnancy tests are.
I followed the deanna plan (except the Robitussen part) the month I got pregnant and slept with a pillow under my hips for several hours.

Hmmm thats tough. OPK's are ovulation predictor kits. You can buy them in CVS or any drugstore by the pregnancy tests.
However since you have PCOS you may want to consult with a Reproductive Endocrinologist. My Dr actually specializes in PCOS(I do not have it) I know Metformin is one of the treatments given to women with this which may help you ovulate. If not they may add Clomid. These are both pharmaceuticals that will help your body to produce more natural hormones and icnrease your ovulations. You should definitely find a specialist.

Re: tips for ttc?
I just read Deanna's plan. It's too late for me to start it this month but I think that I am going to try it next month!
And I am going to go get some Robitussen tonight!
Right now I am on day 11. The OPKs said to start testing tomorrow. We BD on day 9 and will again tonight..... then i will follow Deanna's plan from here on in.
Good luck to everyone!

My cycles were all over the place too and I wasn't even sure if I was ovulating. Someone recommended the saliva OPK to me because the other tests can get expensive. The saliva test is reusable and highly effective. If you want to know more about it, please FM me.
