TMI - Yeast infection question
Do yeast infections affect your ovulation? I was starting to consistently get darker lines on the opk, though it had not yet become as dark as the control line. Then on Saturday I got a yeast infection and when I tested Sunday the line was much lighter.
I don't think I missed my surge because I tested 2x Saturday and it never got darker than the control line.
Just wondering if the infection could have affected my ovulation this month? TIA and sorry for the TMI!

I'm not sure...but why don't you try digitals so you aren't questioning the stupid lines anymore? I feel like they could be so confusing??

Re: TMI - Yeast infection question
The yeast infection itself should not affect your O but other things (stress, systemic infections can).
LH is a hormone that should be detected by the kit regardless if there is yeast present.
LH is a hormone that fluctuates throughout the day so if you haven't seen two matching lines, you likely did not miss your surge.
I know some girls talk about a fade in pattern. I never had that. I could have a dark line one day, a much lighter line the next and the matching one on the third (my surge).
My lines were always all over the place but there was always no mistaking it when it was my surge. It was always really obvious to me. I used to use the smiley face kit to confirm but once I saw what the lines looked like for a few months, I stopped buying the digitals because it was just redundant.

Thank you! I am really having a difficult time with these opks. I'm going to start on the digitals next month!
