TMI- Embarrassing Bathroom RElated Question
I had a really hard time "Going" the other day after not having gone for a week. Now, I'm pretty sure I have a hemorrhoid
I looked it up on the internet and now I'm freaked out cause webmd talks about thrombosis and a certain kind that needs to be pushed back in (Ummm...gross!)
Has anyone ever had one? Will it just go away?
Its not very painful- only when I sit to use the bathroom...other than that its just a minor irritation.
Sorry for TMI- but I'm freaked out and don't want to ask people I work with.

Don't worry about it. I would go out and buy some Tucks and use them for a few days to help with the irritation.
Keep the area clean and be gentle with yourself.

If it does not go away with OTC medications, go to a gastroentronoligist.

Re: TMI- Embarrassing Bathroom RElated Question
You may not have a hemorrhoid but, you may have a small tear in the area. My DH had this once, and he went to the Doctor. THe MD said to start taking a laxative and it will go away.

Re: TMI- Embarrassing Bathroom RElated Question
I had them very badly after DD was born, drink alot of water, eat a lot of fiber to get regular. You can either use prep-H (which will shrink it) or tucks. Give it a month of doing this and see how it goes. 9 out of 10 times they heal themselves with regularity. Save stool safteners as a last resort, they get aggravted if you get the runs.

Re: TMI- Embarrassing Bathroom RElated Question
like i tell DH all the time, STOP LOOKING AT WEBMD!! it will just make you crazy!!!
get some tucks pads and some glicerin suppositories or some preparation H suppositories. that will help.
drink tons of water and eat tons of veggies.
if it doesnt go away or gets more painful, go to the dr.
feel better!

Re: TMI- Embarrassing Bathroom RElated Question
You said you had not gone for a week. You were definitely constipated, and in my experience, the next poo after constipation will NOT be easy even if you have no 'roids!
