TMI-Poo Color Question
Yesterday, DS did a grayish poop. First time I've ever seen this, and looking online, I don't see much about gray poo.
He's been eating bananas for the last few days and had a good amount of them. Could the bananas turn the color? Or should I call his doctor?

Re: TMI-Poo Color Question
I wouldn't be concerned. Rylans poop goes from forest green to yellowish green to grayish green. It's always a new suprise...lol.

I don't know for sure - but I can see bananas doing it. Sometimes bananas themselves can have some brownish/grey areas...

Re: TMI-Poo Color Question
Its perfectly normal, my doctor told me it can range from a ton of different colors. my sons go from grey to bright green depending on what he eats. as long as its not diareha or has blood in his stool. its fine.

Bananas can definitely be the culprit.

Re: TMI-Poo Color Question
Thanks for the replies! It was odd to see--don't think I ever saw gray poop.
We're skipping bananas today, so I'll see if the color changes again. Sounds like it will!

Hmmm, that must have been lovely!
God, the things we think about as parents! You know I was saved the diaper to show DH when he came home.

Re: TMI-Poo Color Question
Once when DS was sick he pooped white. Yes white, like I squeezed the tube of Balmex in there. This happened for about 3 diapers before it changed color. I called the pediatrician and they said this happens frequently with sick children...I don't remember the explanation. Basically they said, poop of all different colors can happen. Don't worry unless it's persistent or appears to have blood.
