TMI random boob question
I wanted to ask before I look like a total fool in front of my OB next week..
I watching some stuff about BFing et all.. and I noticed, all the mommies had their nips "popped" for lack of a better word. Then I got curious and googled it.. and I wondering I have slightly inverted nips.
My boobies are fine.. aerola is darkening and widening.. but the nips have me a little concerned b/c I really, really, really want to BF. Anyone have any insight on this..

your probably have flat nipples which are common. if you plan to BF you should roughen them up with you towel everytime you shower so they hoepfully stand up a little more so BF is easier. it is painful to do this but I hear it helps a ton when the time comes to BF

you mean rub them with a towel?
yes. for a lot of girls they never pop if you have flat ones naturally

Mine were the same way with DS- he had trouble latching at first. I used the shields in the hospital and a few days afterwards, which gives them a little shape. He latched on prob second day in the hosp, and no problems after that- BF for a year.

that's very good to know.. i'm going to see my dr. next week, and i'll ask her to see if this is actually the case with me.. she's really pro BFing..
