TMI, went to the doctors today....

I woke up with gas/diarrhea but it was clear liquid...?? It happened 3 times and then I was having cramping. I called the dr and they said I had to be seen, to make sure it wasnt amnio leaking. The dr walks in and says- so you have a stomach bug what are you taking for it? I was like- UMM... Your nurse told me to come in to check for fluid. So he used a speculum and said- good news, your water DIDNT break and your cervix looks closed. Can they tell by just looking??? Then he listened to the heart beat and said- he's still in there. I asked him if he could guess what the wt would be and he rattles off 8 lbs if you go another 4 wks, so I said- wow you can tell that just by looking?? he said No by feeling from the outside....HMMM....He didnt feel my stomach, I dont think Anyways, what a crazy visit. I guess it's a stomach bug or my body is getting ready Anyone else experience this?? Iam in my 36th wk

I didn't experience this but it can most definitely be your body preparing for labor being you are 36 weeks already. It does sound like an odd visit from what you described but luckily there is nothing to worry about.

Who knows, you may go early! Take that as a blessing, I'm almost 41 weeks and still waiting

im also 36w and have been having diarrhea for days, although its not clear.... how weird must that be lol. feel better!

For the past few days I was having loose stools (normal color) and then today it was clear liquid...so strange. But the dr did say, that sometimes women get diarrhea at the end.... I thought the dr would swab to check for amnio fluid not just look anyways, Iam not going to worry about it.
