To my daughter on her 7th birthday
Dear Miranda,
I can't believe it has been 7 years since your birth. It eels like it was just yesterday that I held you, my firstborn child, in my arms. You have taught me so much about life, it amazes me.
You are such a special girl. You always help others-even before yourself. Your teacher always comments about how even though you are the most advanced in your class, you always go back to help those who struggle with the work. She said she has never had a student in her inclusion classes who watches out for those children with learning disabilites, You are always standing up for them, or helping them along with their things even when you don't have to. You amaze me.
At home you are a little mother hen to your younger siblings. You make them laugh, help them get dressed, and always help bring them out of their bad mood. When I told you your sister Melanie was having a hard time making friends you showed her how- with your Barbies. You always check up on her, take the time to teach her things, and help her read her books when I'm too busy. You help shush Amelia to sleep, cuddle Ryan when he is sad, and play rough with Jawad when he needs it. You set such a good example for everybody.
I am so thankful to have such a wonderful person for my daughter. You make me proud every day, and I love you with all my heart.
Love,
Mommy
I can't believe it has gone so fast. She went from this to this in the blink of an eye
