Today is a better day
I posted a few days ago on one of the threads that I was having a bad day. I was overwhelmed with school starting and I was anxious about whether or not my LP is too short. I, of course, assume the worst and think that there's something wrong. I also used to hope that I could get pregnant to be due in March, then April, then May....all so that I could time it with school and get the most time out with the baby as possible, seeing as I cannot be a SAHM. These months to be due have passed and I was very sad about that fact. Well, I'm happy to report that today is a better day! I am loving my class and my new position at school. And I have decided that when I go to my new gyn appointment on Monday, I am going armed with questions, my charts and a positive attitude. This is certainly going to take longer than I thought, but as long as I get pregnant I don't care when anymore! As soon as I gave up on the idea of when I "had" to be due by, I felt relief. Now it doesn't matter when, I just want it to happen. Sorry for rambling. I'm sure I'll waiver back to being sad sometimes, but I know I'll always have you girls there to support me and lift me up. Thanks!

This is the BEST attitude! I started off the same way you did... last September hoping for a June baby so I could have the whole summer off and then go back to work in Sept - but obviously things did not pan out that way and I would be happy to have a baby any month of the year!
Best of luck!

I could have written the same thing. I agree with you.
I was trying to plan for a spring baby as well and go back to work in Sept but now I would be thankful to get pregnant any month of the year. It is amazing how your mind changes as you go through this.
For all of us...

Re: Today is a better day
Hey.
I am a teacher also. I was also planning for the ideal "teacher" months- which like you said are passing us by.
If I learned anything its that we cant plan life. If we have to take off in September, life will go on.

Re: Today is a better day
I had to come to terms with the same issue, being a teacher that can't be a SAHM.
