Today was hard for me...
I went back to work. I'm back officially on Thursday but I went in today to work on my classroom. I had to drop her off at the babysitters (normally DH would be dropping her off, I've only dropped her off once before) and it made me so sad.
It was almost as bad as when I went back from my Maternity Leave in December.
I don't want to leave her. I wish I could be a SAHM.

I feel the exact same way!! Dh usually drops Jordana off at daycare. I don't think I could do it everyday. Just think about how wonderful she is and soon it will be time to pick her up!

Melissa, I totally am going through the same thing! I am going back for student orientation tomorrow and now that she is old enough to communicate, it's breaking my heart to leave her. I took her to visit daycare a couple of times, never left stayed with her and she just clung to me and screamed. I am glad my dh has to do the drop off because I could never.
This is the first year in 11 years that I can honestly say I don't want to go back.  Leaving her is going to be too hard.
Ideally I would love to teach locally part time and be home by noon for DH to leave for work.
This sux.

I feel the same way and I never thought that I wanted to be a SAHM, but now that he's here I think I would like it. My first day is Thursday too, but my DH is watching the baby and he's actually bringing him to school to help me set up.

This sux.
That would be my ideal situation also. Work half days or just a few days a week and still get lots of time to spend with her. It is just so hard going from all to nothing overnight.

uh i feel your pain it is like going back after maternity leave. I'm avoiding even going in but Thursday I have no choice!
To make it even worse it's Antonio's 1st birthday on Thursday.

Awww...you have to go back on his birthday! That totally stinks.
I think that the schools should have a baby classroom -- I'll be the teacher -- to get paid to watch my daughter and all the other babies/toddlers that my co-workers have.

I love the idea! I can't wait till his is in Pre-K so I could take him with me to work.

i know I think we all wish that.. But it makes you want them even more when you get home. When I get home all I do is kiss and cuddle with my DD( like I dont do that all the time) But I dont let her go for like 20 minutes... she must really hate when I come home now that I think about it.. Hmm

I drop off too I was always in the undecided column. It's upsetting when they were crying when I left and on a different level worse the day the say "Ok bye Mommy, see you later!"
