So glad you are looking into alternatives. It's very difficult but you have to keep going, and going and going, until you find a doctor (s) who want to do everything humanly possible... maybe even things that others think are out of the norm.
I'm a firm believer that as much as western doctors know, they don't know... western medicine is in it's infancy compared to other practices. What works for one patient may not work for the next.

8/9/2006 Officially have appointments with Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston AND one with Moffit Cancer Institute in Florida for additional opinions.
I am glad that you have alternatives and resources for seeking other options. I hope they can maybe shed some light for you!

Deb, did you get an appointment with Sloane? A good friend of mine just had a 16.5 hour surgery yesterday for a very rare cancer and so far the news is that it was a success.
