Re: Toddler Bed-how old?
Well Julia co-sleeps with us now, but once we move in the next few months, we are buying her a big girl bed, she will be almost 2 by then.
My sister had my niece in a toddler bed when she was 2.

Re: Toddler Bed-how old?
Andrew moved to a toddler bed by 22 months. This was only because #2 was on the way and we needed the crib. I still believe that if we hadn't had #2, he'd still be in his crib!

Re: Toddler Bed-how old?
DD will be 3 in March and she looovveess her crib. Everytime I mention the big girl bed she gets upset. I think by the summer we will have to do it though.

Re: Toddler Bed-how old?
At 2 years, 3 months Molly went into her toddler bed. She loved it from day 1.

Re: Toddler Bed-how old?
Jack was scaling the walls of the crib at about 18 months. Now at 2 years, 4 months I feel like he has been in his bed forever! It worked out though, since I would;ve had to move him by 24 months to make room for Molly.

Re: Toddler Bed-how old?
Somewhere around 2. DS has a convertible crib, so after he started trying to climb out, we figured it was a good time to convert to a toddler bed. We'll probably use the climbing out milestone for DD as well. Since we don't have to buy anything, it makes it a bit easier. It only takes a few minutes to convert it, so once we see her trying to make an escape, that day I'll convert.

Re: Toddler Bed-how old?
I have a friend whose children are 20 months apart, so she had her daughter in the toddler bed by 18 months. She said if she had to do it all over again she would have just bought her a twin bed and gotten some type of rails or safety things for the sides of the bed. She said the toddler bed was the biggest waste of money and really uncomfortable.
