toddler friendly vacation spots
What are some good places to bring a 2 year old on vacation- some kind of resort that is not too expensive? Some place warm preferably.

Re: toddler friendly vacation spots
Last year we took Alex to Club Med Sandpiper in Florida. We are going back in a few weeks.
The cons are that it's not the most luxurious resort in the world - in fact, one could argue the buildings are somewhat shabby. And, because it is SUCH a family friendly resort, there's no intimacy, and it's not exactly a "romantic" vacation. And the people running the place can be a real pain about room check in and check out times.
The pros are that there are a slew of activities for adults and children. There are GO's (pretty much counselors) all over the resort who cater to the children. If you're at dinner and your child starts making a fuss, before you know it, a GO will be at your side, making funny faces at your child and will literally entertain him/her until you're finished.
They have cribs, strollers, high chairs, fresh pureed baby food, you name it, they have it.
They have on-site daycare right smack in the middle of the resort. They also have "siesta" babysitting services for a nominal extra fee. The children are grouped by age - all day you'll see little toddlers runnning around the resort, holding hands, clapping and singing with their teacher.
They also have programs all day geared for the kids. On our last day, Alex was in a "show", and every night they have some really fantastic shows. Alex LOVED them.
I liked it because we didn't have to go somewhere where Alex was stuck in a stroller all day. She had a lot of fun while we were there, and at the same time, DH and I got some much needed R&R.
Oh, also, the rooms are HUGE... even the most basic rooms.

Re: toddler friendly vacation spots
We're going to Iberostar Paraiso Lindo in Mexico and it's family friendly (I'm hoping toddler friendly too). It's pricey though (not my choice) but there are sister hotels in the same complex that are less expensive. I can do a review when I get back but we aren't going until the end of June.
