Toddler senses your pregnancy
I'm barely halfway through my 1st trimester and we haven't uttered a word to anyone else about me being pregnant, so we definitely have not mentioned anything in front of our 3 year old. Randomly, the last few days out of nowhere DC has said things like "Can we get a baby? Where is our baby?" and "The baby will need a bedroom and a crib and baby toys". Both things were totally unprovoked and out of the blue. DC has also been more demanding of my attention the last couple of weeks. I've made jokes that it's almost like 14 month old separation anxiety is hitting our 3 yr old again. I'm starting to wonder if kids have a 6th sense for pregnancies!
Did anyone else find their older children seemed to sense your pregnancy before they could have possibly known about it?

Yes. Dd knew the baby was a girl. She was adamant. And she pretty much told me she was getting a baby sister in a couple of months. I got pregnant very soon after. She is 3.

Re: Toddler senses your pregnancy
I was recently pregnant and carried well into the first trimester, and my 3 yr old DS never gave any indication either before I knew, or while I knew I was pregnant, that I was pregnant.

FWIW, my 4yo keeps talking about having another baby. I'm not pregnant and not planning on getting pregnant again ever. I think you're just noticing it because you actually are pregnant. It's normal for little kids to talk about more babies.

Crashing - my daughter was 2 1/2 at the time and suddenly started talking about having a baby sister when I first found out I was pregnant. It wound up prompting us to tell her sooner than we planned because we saw an opening and went with it.

Before I tested, but had suspected I was pregnant, my 4.5 year old was standing next to me, gasped and said I had a baby in my belly. Then, a handful of times each week over the next several weeks he'd talk about the baby in my belly, rub my belly, kiss it, etc. He only did this when it was just the two of us. I never acknowledged it and he eventually stopped, but it was so strange. My 8 year old was totally clueless though until we shared the news with them.

I'm NOT pregnant, but my 2.5 year old DS has been telling me for at least 2 months that his baby sister is in my belly. I think it's an age thing. Plus everyone in his daycare class is getting a sibling. Him, not so much.
