Toddler twins who share a room-a few questions
Tying to figure a few things out. My twins are 2 and share a room. I do have the room to separate them but my original plan was to keep them together as long as possible.
How do handle middle of the night wake ups? Dd has been giving us issues. It started off waking up a little bit early but now it's been 4 am lately. I usually let her cry a bit until ds starts to stir and then I go in and get her but she is starting to learn if I cry mommy will come and it's getting worse. How do you girls handle it?
I want to nip this in the bud before baby #3 comes in 8 weeks.
How did you know when it was time to separate them?

I don't have middle of the night wakeup problems, but they do sometimes wake up at 6 am and go in eachothers beds, jump on the beds, climb the dressers, etc. I have to get up, tell them its not time to wake up yet, put them back in their own beds and pretty much threaten them not to get up (like "if you get up again i will be too tired to take you to the aquarium after school so if you want to go stay in your beds")

thank you for your response! She has had better nights since I posted. Based in your response I can't wait for toddler beds
How long do you plan on keeping them together? I think they will be sad if I were to separate them

Just going to post somthing similar. We are moving to a house that will give us enough room for each kid to have their own room. I am thinking just to move them now so they both get better sleep. But i feel bad that they will miss each other. so torn

We have a room waiting for Teavis when they decide to split up. They are BFF and will not sleep without the other in the room. When they are old enough to ask to split up we will.

I usually give the crier five minutes and if they don't stop crying, I go in there for minute to try and soothe, never taking them out of the crib. Sometimes it works! If I don't make it in there in time before the other one starts to wake I will let them both cry. Usually they are out within 10 minutes. If not then I go in there and sit next to the cribs holding their hands until they fall asleep. Usually about 5-10 minutes. We are nowhere near toddler beds ( knock on wood) but I don't plan on separating them anytime soon. They are very attached to each other. When I go out with one, they am or the other over and over until we get home. Sometimes even breaking into hysterics. Their cribs have to be next to each other. We put them to bed on opposite sides of the cribs, they wind up head to head. They are literally bff's. when they are of enough on want their own rooms, ill separate them
