Toilet Bowl Ring - how to get rid of?
Does anyone have advice on how to get rid of a toilet bowl ring?
The bathroom downstairs was probably not used much, if at all, by former owner.
There is a discolored ring where the water sits in the bowl that I can't seem to get rid of! I have tried to keep bleach in the toilet and let it sit for a day, I have tried that scrubbing thing, and Ajax powder.
It looks unsightly. Any tips? It's driving me crazy.

buy a pumice stone. You can probably get it at home depot. We use them at work on the school toilet bowls and sinks.
It is very simple to use. You have to plunge the water out of the toilet and then you take the stone and rub it back and forth until the yellowing or ring disappears
This is the stuff Pumice Stone

Honestly the only way we got rid of ours was to replace the bowl.

mine was really bad too. our house was empty for over a year before we moved in. at lowes they had a toilet bowl cleaner for rust/stains and i used that and it worked. i had tried so many other things (letting bleach sit in the bowl, kaboom, scrubbing etc.) and this worked.

Try the Pumice Stone - I am a custodian in an Elementary School and we use the stone on 40 year old toilets that were probably not done in a long time. The yellow stains were so bad and the pumice stone worked. No chemicals needed at all. You just rub the stone into the porcelain of the bowl and the stains will come out. It will take some rubbing but it will work.

Try the fizzy stuff that cleans dentures. I heard 1 of those fizzing in the toilet will work.

Bar Keepers Friend works on rust. Used it on my tub.

ITA. It's like the magic eraser for toilet bowls.
If you prefer to use product that doesn't require submerging a gloved had into the toilet bowl than The Works is great as well.

I've been told to try the effervescent denture cleaning tablets as well as a can of Coke. I've tried the tablets and am not impressed. Haven't tried the Coke yet.
