told my principal today..vent
I had to tell my principal today because I was caught throwing up in the bathroom by one of my supervisors and a few teachers. I also had to run out the classroom today and luckily found a teacher in the hallway to watch my kids. I felt that I needed to tell my principal now, because if I have an emergency and need to get sick again, I will need to call the main office to cover my class for me.
I feel like such an idiot because when I told her I started crying because I feel so sick. She was really nice about it and was happy for me, but I feel so stupid that I started crying!
vent over. I just have such an unsettling feeling about it. ugh

it's better that every one knows.. it may have been upsetting to tell but now there is no stress of hiding it or asking for support when you're sick.
And at least your principal was nice .. mine asked if I was kidding her and then when I said I was due in the summer asked if I'd be back in September.

I cried when I told the head of my office too. totally blame it on hormones...oh, and Catholic guilt.

mine asked when i was due and when i said "summer" she breathed a sigh of relief. She then said "great, so it won't really affect your work schedule, then"
so I guess she made the decision for me to come back in Sept, lol

Yes lol. 6 years from when my last was born and I find myself veryy emotional. Never was before kids. Now a Christmas song comes on and I tear up 
Just think now you dont have to be anxious about her finding out. Try to relax I know it doesnt seem like it but your morning sickness will be a thing of the past. Then you can concentrate on constipation, hemrrhoids and terrible back pain.

Truth. I just bawled at my desk watching a video of a kid who was adopted by his foster family for Christmas. Like ugly crying. 
But at least it's out there- it should be easier from here on out.

I never understood why throwing up had to equal a woman being pregnant. It's the winter there is so much going around. If I wasn't ready to tell I wouldn't have. I did not feel the need to let work know right away and didn't tell until well into my second trimester.

I would not let this statement dictate time off with my LO. My personal belief was that I would only have this special time with my DC once and I was going to take advantage of it!

Don't worry I totally get hormotional randomly. Now you get to enjoy being pregnant with no worries of hiding it. Such a good feeling.
