Tonight's episode of Family Guy
They are at an aquariam and the fsmily goes up to a take the dad says "Look kids it's the last city of" and you think they will say Atlantis, but nooooo they say "New Orleans." I usually find this show funny BUT I think it's tooooo soon for this joke. They showed buildings that looked like the french quarter and then skeleton's with shirt's on that said "girls gone wild" I just thought it was inappropriate and tooooooo soon. Agree? Disagree? and thoughts?

i missed it.
But, they're always crude. With their sense of humor, its like It's not funny.. but it Is. They're always wrong.. on so many levels.. still, i'm amused

Sorry Don, I know you love this series and I really am usually amused. But if made fun of 9/11 so soon after, would people be singing a different tune?

i guess most fans of the show are immune to the jokes because they're offensive to everything

Re: Tonight's episode of Family Guy
honestly- there's NEVER a right time to make fun of certain things... but people, tv shows, etc... do it all of the time. I'm not saying it's right (though, i will admit to having a 'unique' sense of humor)... but i would feel too hypocritical to say one is acceptable and the other isn't.

We both gasped when they did it. I'm not surprised they did it, though. I am surprised at some of the stuff they get past the censors.

I am a fan...and I am offended on behalf of others. Just too soon and too something ( can't think of the word, been happening a lot lately).

Re: Tonight's episode of Family Guy
Side question. The song that Bill Clinton played on his Sax...what was it from? Saturday Night live? Night court? something else? I can picture the show's opening with steam coming out of the NYC street grate...but can't pinpoint.

but i think with many things, this is the problem. People may not be amused, but with something that would not have even bothered them otherwise, they become offended b/c they think its whats expected.

Re: Tonight's episode of Family Guy
I didn't watch it yet, but I think I would probably be very uncomfortable with that joke. DH says that he would be okay with it, basically b/c it's what he expects from that show and everything is fair game for them. I do think there is a point where FG crosses the line, even though I love that show overall.
