Tonsil Stones?
No personal experience, but my friend and her older brother get them all the time... the older brother picks them out himself - it's so gross!!!!

Tonsil Stones?
my DH gets them.. we just saw 2 different ENTs about it.. they usually start in the 20's-30's. Once you get them they usually return (in his case often) Absolutely nothing you can do about it - unless you remove them yourself. If they are coming so often that it's really bothering you the only solution was to have surgery and remove your tonsils. The 1st ENT my husband saw personally won't do the surgery bc he said as much as they're an inconvenience they're not dangerous and no need to perform surgery for something that isn't hurting you.. 2nd opinion from the 2nd ENT and he will remove tonsils if someone has them constantly. The visits weren't very helpful at all.

Re: Tonsil Stones?
Many, many people have them. They form in the crevices of the tonsils if you have crypts. Depends on the bacteria in your mouth and the enzymes that calcify the deposits. They are not harmful, just annoying and can cause bad breath. Most people cough and gag them out to dislodge and some even use a Qtip to coax them out. My husband is a pro at the qtip but it takes skill so be careful if you go that route lol

Re: Tonsil Stones?
crashing...
I developed tonsil stones as an adult, it was terrible between having constant sore throat and a bad breath that creates, I went to see an ENT and had them removed, best decision ever, a bit painful but worth it.
