I just had mine done on Tuesday and DS is 4 months old. He was in the NICU for a month and then on oxygen so we did have to wait. I don't think there is a time frame, get them done when you can.

Not at all. He might be a little less flexible at two weeks but nothing that a photographer couldn't work with.

I tried finding someone for Gianna when she was 2 weeks old. I decided I wanted them suddenly. Everyone I contacted was booked  If you find someone, I say go for it.

My photographer told me that the best time is around 3 weeks or before, but you could honestly try any time! Why not!!!

Once you get close to that 2 week window, newborns aren't so sleepy and are not as easy to pose if awake. It can be done, sure. It's just going to take a bit longer as far as the session goes, but it can be done!

I just had pictures taken today of DS. he is 4.5 months. THey were more of family pics but we got great ones since he fell asleep towards the end and my photog stayed for 2 hrs taking pics. He was my wedding photog and love him so we used him for this.

we did ours at 5w cause DD was in the NICU for 3.5 weeks. its def not exactly the same as them being fresh newborns, but it was the closest i could get and i do love the pics!

My DS was in the NICU for a month so his newborn pics were taken when he was 6 weeks old.
If you want them, go for it! Just act quickly because a lot of photogs are booked in advance.

Mine were done at a month bc my DC were in the NICU for 2 weeks.
