Too-short pants spinoff with a question and pic
So...all I have in my work wardrobe are trouser jeans and regular trousers. For spring I wanted to get some new pants, and wanted to try a new length/cut because everything I have is wider at the bottom. I saw this pic and loved this outfit. I want pants like these.
BUT I see she is breaking rules as discussed on the other thread- heels and short pant, and are the pants too short? What is the criteria for too short?

love those
those dont fit the too short example- those are ankle cut skinny leg trousers.
i can safely say that most skinny pants are excluded from the too short rule
when we say too short its like work pants where you can see the persons shoe like this below qualifies as pants tailored too short:

I don't think they are too short at all. The are ankle skinny pants which is totally fine. I love the look with heels! I think Gap has some.

I feel like skinny pants are supposed to be short, but trousers are supposed to nearly hit the floor.

Ok, just for the record - I don't think I wear pants this short - and I very very rarely wear 3 inch heels (when I do it's with long pants or skirts/dresses)
My pants do sometimes only come to the middle of my shoe, so there is still a little shoe and heel exposed - again 1-2 inch heels only.
But your example is what I meant about the shorter pants coming into style.
What about more of the straight leg pants that aren't as tight as say jeggings - how long are they supposed to be?
