Took my first provera tonight...Please tell me what your experiences were
I am nervous. I just want AF to come
Are there going to be bad side effects???

Oh believe me AF will come. I have PCOS and hadn't had a significant period in months and when i got my provera induced AF it was almost unbearable, very heavy and crampy. It did only last 7 days so it wasn't extra long but I also had a very thick lining to shed. I have heard others who just have regular periods on it.

Well I haven't had a period in over 2 months so I guess I should expect a heavy period

I took it for 10 days, and then finally after the final pill, like 5 days later I got AF...
It was a little heavier then normal, but nothing crazy. I don't think I remember any other side effects.

Not necessarily I hadn't gotten my period in a lot longer than that so I had a lot of lining to shed. I was never in tremendous pain w/ cramps it was just very annoying and inconvenient but it is all for the better good.

I have taken it after almost a year with no period, and I get no side effects from it, aside from regular AF type cramping.
