Tooth tissues/brushing teeth
DD is 17 months and extremely stubborn and uncooperative with me brushing her teeth. She'll chew on the brush but that's it. I've tried everything but no luck. Has anyone had any luck or tried tooth tissues? How are they??

Re: Tooth tissues/brushing teeth
DS is almost 21 months and does the same thing. but i still let him hold the toothbrush and do what he wants while i change him. it keeps him occupied and hes on this huge independent kick right now. when im done changing him i grab the toothbrush really quick and brush as much as i can before he goes nuts.

Re: Tooth tissues/brushing teeth
DS is 21 months and I tried just giving him the toothbrush but he doesn't brush, kwim. He moves it around and then asks me to wet it so he can suck the water out
What i have started doing recently is using these little wet clothes I got at BBB, Spiffies. They are made for teeth and are flavored. After breakfast and dinner I keep DS in the high chair, brush his teeth quickly with the toothbrush to remove anything that might be stuck in his molars, and then clean his teeth with the Spiffie. I am able to clean all around really well because 1) he's confined in the chair and 2) he likes the way it tastes. I feel much better doing this bc I know I'm actually cleaning his teeth; I was worried he'd get cavities.

yes - LOVED the spiffies! we used them for a bit - to get Em used to stuff being 'done' to her teeth (they also taste and smell REALLY good).
now Em is all about brushing her teeth. make sure when you brush YOUR teeth, DC is watching. She's seen me do it 800 times, but I guess Daddy spits better (insert sarcasm here), so now when she brushes, she likes to 'spit'.
We have 3 toothbrushes for her (i know, overkill - but my feeling is this is something to encourage, so if we're at a store and she sees one that she likes, if it helps her brush - i'm for it!
