Tornado Watch
DH just called me and said there was a tornado watch in LI. Anybody have any info? He gives me 1/2 stories all the time!

AT 547 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR WAS TRACKING STRONG THUNDERSTORMS ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM BERGENFIELD TO WESTBURY TO 6 MILES SOUTHEAST OF ROCKAWAY BEACH TO LAURENCE HARBOR... OR ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM BERGENFIELD TO WESTBURY TO 6 MILES SOUTHEAST OF ROCKAWAY BEACH TO PERTH AMBOY...AND MOVING EAST AT 35 MPH.
THESE STORMS WILL BE... NEAR YONKERS BY 600 PM. NEAR LEVITTOWN BY 605 PM. NEAR SCARSDALE BY 610 PM. NEAR HARRISON BY 615 PM. NEAR PORT CHESTER BY 620 PM. NEAR HAUPPAUGE BY 625 PM.
SMALL HAIL...AND WINDS AROUND 30 MPH ARE EXPECTED WITH THESE STORMS.

Well, it is 6:05 and there was just a huge clap of thunder in Levittown and my DirectTV isn't working any more, so I guess the severe storms are here.

It is amazing how accurate that is because it's 10 after 6 and the storm has been going on here in Levittown for a few minutes now!

Anyone in White Plains DH had to go to his firms office up there today and since everyone is posting about tornado watches I was worried - he isn't answering his cell which is very unusual. What is it like up there?

cablevision does not have half the HD channels that Direct has but...yea I have cablevision and its still working, lol.
