Totally a "man" thing to do...
So yesterday afternoon, I made myself a pot of coffee. I stirred in some sugar and went to pour the milk, but the second I opened the carton I got a whiff of it - it was totally sour. So I held my nose and poured it down the drain (it was that bad) and forgot about it.
Fast forward 3 hours when my FH gets home from work, and I said, "honey, I'm going to run out and get a carton of milk. The one we had went sour." And he replied, "oh yeah, I noticed that when I poured my cereal this morning. I'm sorry, I meant to leave you a note not to use it."
He meant to leave me a note to not use the sour milk that he put back in the fridge??????

At least he meant to leave you a note! Mine wouldn't have even done that!

classic.
if it makes you feel any better, my husband likes to put plastic cups in the sink when he's finished using them. for what purpose, i have not a clue. when i ask him why he does it, he replies "i don't know?"...

mine used to do this! now he drinks out of cans and leaves the empty cans on the Island in the kitchen when the recycle pail is full.

It's very logical. By leaving the bad milk in there, it was an obvious reminder that it was bad, and you needed more. If he threw it away, you wouldn't have noticed the stench, and might have not realized you needed more.
Makes perfect sense.
