town of brookhaven- c/o question
I am trying to obtain a c/o for a detatched, existing building that is on my property. It is listed on the survey and I would like to do something with the building (add heat, electric, a bathroom) and use it as a "bonus space" for when we have parties, ect. Everybody that I have talked to in the town office has given me different answers if it is possible. Does anybody know if I need to rezone to get a c/o since it is not attached to my house or how I would go about this legally. Thanks!

Re: town of brookhaven- c/o question
Their website has some good info regarding c/o's. I've spent hours on that site. Town of Brookhaven (probably like most towns) are very difficult. It took a while to get the c/o after all the inspectors came in to approve the work at our house. And there are fees for the fees...good luck but definitely start with the website and then go to Town Hall to start the paperwork.
