Town of Hempstead-Building Permit
How long does it take to get a building permit in TOH for a new construction home? Is every new construction home have to go to hearing for a permit?

It mainly depends on if you need any variances. If you don't need a variance for items that bend the rules (building too close to property line, having more building than the land permits, too big of a driveway, etc), it should be pretty quick. The variances are what take a large amount of time, and hearings.

good luck! lol we had purchased a home with a variance and it took 10 months!!!!
