Town of Smithtown or Brookhaven Moms....
I am looking for a park setting (playground, pavilion, electric) to have RJ's 1st birthday. I would like something a little nicer than a plain-ol park. Any suggestions and or pics??
Thanks!!

We had DD's first b-day party at the new park (Heritage Park) on the corner of 83 & 25A in Mt. Sinai. They have BEAUTIFUL, NEW facilities inside-- air conditioned, bathroom, private, etc. You bring in your own food. And the price was very reasonable.
Here's their website: LINK
ETA: Not sure if you've been there before, but they DO have an awesome new playground. The only downside is that the playground and the pavillion are on opposite ends of the park...so the younger kids can't just "go play" while the parents stay inside...you'd have to walk them there and stay there. But it wasn't an issue for us.

OMG, Katie, Little Africa Beach in Smithtown!! My Mom's redhats rent the pavillion there for all their events (has bathrooms, is covered, etc).
Do you want me to get the info?

Diamond in the Pines is nice...great toddler friendly playground (nothing high to fall off from). They have a pavillion and bathrooms. I'm not sure about the electric in the pavillion though. It's a Brookhaven Town park.

We love Hoyt farm! They have a picnic area, rest rooms, two different playgrounds, a mini water park and an area with farm animals. The kids always have a blast when we go there! We've never had a birthday party there, but DH's family has their family reunion there every summer.

I love Hoyt park and was going to do it there, but I read the website and they charge $7 per car for non-residents and I can't ask my guests to pay to park for my party

Boo...I forgot about that . Don't they have an additional lot down one of the side streets? I thought they did and you didn't have to pay to park there, but I could be wrong.

I have been to 2 birthday parties there recently where I know the hosts rented the center round pavilion but not sure how you go about it.
