Toxicima/Preeclampsia
Has anyone experienced this or knows anything about it? I went to the Dr yesterday and I am borderline with my swelling and protein.

Aren't you near your due date? Why wouldn't they induce you?

Re: Toxicima/Preeclampsia
I had it with my son. Started out boderline and then got worse.
They induced me at just under 38 weeks. I wound up having an emergency c-section.
Ask away if you have questions.

is this your regular OB? Maybe you should consult with an MFM if you have toxemia/pre-e I don't think bed rest will help will it?

Re: Toxicima/Preeclampsia
I had toxemia. I was put on bedrest for almost 3 months and then they finally had to do an emerg c-section 3 weeks early (turns out I was having contractions anyway)
Bedrest will def help and really listen to the dr. I didn't really stay in bed. I did so much in the house. I couldn't drive almost the entire 3 months so that was hard.
Watch your diet and stress level too

Re: Toxicima/Preeclampsia
Thanks ladies.. i am just considered borderline at this point and the dr said bedrest.. watch the salt and drink lots of water... any other input would be apprecated.
Oh for those who had a c-section was it because of the toxicima or was the baby just not in position?

Re: Toxicima/Preeclampsia
I had toxemia and was put on bed rest for a few months. I delivered 6.5 weeks early. I did have a c-section, they tried to induce me but it did not work. Like the others said, watch your salt, and drink watar. ANd it is important to stay in bed and rest. Take Care.
