Toys for school...advice needed

Here is my weird question:

I teach Kindergarten and my classroom has little toys for the kids. I want to get dolls, stuffed animals, dress up clothes, games etc. that people are getting rid of. Where can I post on Craigslist or something like that? For me to buy all this would be so much Chat Icon Chat Icon ! Thanks for any help you can offer.

You can post on the kids/babies section on craigslist or the free section.

Also check out

www.freecycle.org (you have to join the group in Yahoo) for nassau/suffolk, but the entire boards are free stuff!! They have everything from clothes to furniture to knick knacks to toys to bicycles, etc.

I'm also a teacher, I've been keeping my eye open on craigslist.

Do you teach in a private school? We have a lot of donations from the parents.

You can also join freecycle and put up a wanted ad. Google Nassau Freecycle or Suffolk Freecycle to find a link to join. Or see what other people are getting rid of already...you can find tons of great stuff there. I've given a lot and received a lot of very nice stuff.

Where are you located? I have a doll bassinette/changing table that someone from freecycle just gave me but it's way too big for my house. You are welcome to it.

ETA: I might have a few other things too.

I would go to freecycle. I can't even tell you how many toys I've just bagged & gave away to Big Brothers.

I have another room to clean out. I'm adding this to my notebook & will FM you when I'm done.
