Transitioning from bloat to baby belly?
I have noticed trends in people's belly pics-- that the bloat goes away, they lean out a bit and the baby belly begins to show.
I feel like I am getting less bloated at 11.5 weeks.. In fact I wake up to a pretty flat stomach. What happens throughout the day is another story entirely though.
Anyway, I am also feeling less bloated just in general-- even in my face. I assume I am just getting used to/adjusted to the hormones. My boobs are even maybe less full and don't hurt *as much*.
Is this in my head-- or is this what is supposed to happen?

Totally normal. You will have a few weeks with no morning bloat, and no PG symptms at all. Don't worry though, they will be back soon enough!

Re: Transitioning from bloat to baby belly?
For me the bloat started to go away at about 10weeks. Now I have a definite baby belly. I am 13w5d, but I also have two in there. I have to start taking belly shots, I was doing it until about 9wks and then stopped for some reason!

Re: Transitioning from bloat to baby belly?
My bloat went away at around 12 weeks, and the baby belly started around 16 - 17 weeks. (Other people weren't able to tell yet, but DH and I could!) I popped around 22 weeks.

Re: Transitioning from bloat to baby belly?
I cant remember when I FELT the difference. I have pics from week 4-33 in one of my albums so you should be able to SEE where the change took place if you pay close enough attention. I still cant figure it out.

Re: Transitioning from bloat to baby belly?
I agree, At 13 weeks I'm still "bloated" I don't think the baby belly has kicked in yet. I think in 3 weeks it should start to show! (hopefully) XOXOXO BOTB

Re: Transitioning from bloat to baby belly?
This surely happened to me.
I had major bloat, so I figured I would continually get bloated and big..well, I still haven't gained weight and the bloat turned to baby belly.
My face and upper chest thinned out, so I clearly lost bloat weight and gained baby weight, yet still the same weight so it all leveled out.
So yes, it worked that way for me.
