In both of my pregnancies I have travelled between my home in the UK and Florida and my parents home on LI and it was fine. I say go.

Re: travel and flying in first trimester
I did and had no problems.
My dr. just said no flying after 36 weeks (which is when the airlines impose their own restrictions).
Just keep hydrated and move around every so often.
I've flown multiple times throughout my pregnancy during each trimester (the longest flight though was about 2 1/2 hrs).

Re: travel and flying in first trimester
I travelled to Bermuda during my first trimester. I asked my doctor beforehand and he said it was fine.

Re: travel and flying in first trimester
I don't think it should be a problem.
I didn't fly in my first tri, but I flew at 14 weeks and 17 weeks, from CA to NY and back and was absolutely fine.
I'm flying again this Friday from CA to NY too!

Re: travel and flying in first trimester
My Dr. said it's fine. I didn't, but I'm flying on Wednesday (at 13 weeks).
My Dr. said a lot of times Dr's don't want you to fly because the first trimester is when you have the greatest chance of miscarriage and you should be near home if god forbid tha happens. Also, if god forbid you had one, you'd blame it on the flight..so some dr's advise you not to.

Re: travel and flying in first trimester
My doctor said to just let her know whenever we were planning on flying so that she could be aware, but ok'd me to fly during my first trimester (we already had a trip planned and my flight will be longer than flights to the caribbean).

I was a flight attendant during my first pregnancy and flew into my 3rd trimester.
