Travel Question for the Experts

Hi Mommies!

I have a quick question and would like some feedback from the experts.

My mom is turning 60 a year from this Thursday, to celebrate, my dad is planning on taking the whole family on a cruise (YAY!). Our DS will be about 8 months old (I am 23 wks pregnant now) so my questions are, has anyone done this before? And what was it like? We'd fly to Ft. Lauderdale and then get on the ship from there. I am not hesitant at all about bringing DS, I just kind of want to know what to anticipate.

Since you'll have the baby, I would fly to Ft Lauderdale the day before and stay in a hotel. It would be less stressful IMO. You can enjoy the morning in Fla and then get on the ship with ease.

We went on a cruise for our honeymoon and flew the San Juan the same day that the ship departed. Our flight ended up being delayed and we got on the ship only 1 hour before it departed. I'm just glad we didn't have to worry about having a baby with us.
