Travel rewards / points / credit card programs
There are so many different options out there I am having trouble choosing what to go with. I know a lot of people like Starwood Amex but there hotels are on the more expensive side. How much do you charge on the credit card every month to earn a free room?
are there any other similar cards for cheaper hotels?
Im so overwhelmed by all the choices don't even know where to start researching....
TIA

do you travel internationally? if so, i would def get one with no foreign exchange fee.
i personally like cap. one. the rewards are super easy to use - any hotel, any flight, no blackouts!

A night at a Sheraton is usually around 7000 points or $7000 spent on the AMEX. They also have options where you can do a mix of points and cash. We like to stay at Westins with the kids.
I looked into the Marriott card and it was more like 20,000 points per room.

Re: Travel rewards / points / credit card programs
I don't like credit cards that require the use of only one brand. I love AMEX because I can use my points anywhere and if I don't have enough I can use the points I do have to pay part of it and pay the rest in cash.

another good one is discover. they have a lot of partner rewards, including travelocityincentives.com for hotel stays.
