Travel Suggestions?? St Martin or Aruba

We are trying to plan a trip for middle of Nov for 8 days. We now are considering St Martin or Aruba. We just want nice beaches, good food, and entertainment.

If anyone can share your feedback, i would greatly appreciate it!!!

Or any other suggestions we are up to.

Thanks Girls!

Re: Travel Suggestions?? St Martin or Aruba

We just booked a trip to St. Martin for December. We were going to do Anguilla but hotels were way too $$$ around Christmas time.

We had considered Aruba but DH, having already been to both places prior enjoyed St. Martin more so we're going there!

We went to both places in the last 6 months. St. Martin hands down was more beautiful and enjoyable.

I've been to both - where are you looking to stay on each island? I think I would lean towards Aruba but you really can't go wrong! They are my 2 favorite islands and I wish I could go to either one right now! Chat Icon

In Aruba we were thinking of staying at the Hyatt. In St Martin we were looking into LaSamanna. Any other suggestions in St Martin??

Is there as much to do in St Martin as Aruba? Are we going to be stuck eating at the hotel all the time in St Martin or are there tons of restaurants around?

Thanks for you help!

I've been to both and would pick Aruba for November.

Mainly because it's more south and you have a better chance of less rain/warmer weather.

The Hyatt in Aruba is supossedly gorgeous. I've only walked around there and it looks so nice. My SIL stayed there and loved it. I've stayed at the Radisson and loved it as well.

La Samanna is I think one of the nicest hotels on the island. We stayed at the WEstin which I really liked as well.

I think there is alot to do on both islands actually. What are you looking to do? Nightlife, restaurants?

We are going to Aruba in November. We are staying at the Hyatt. This is our third time. First time we stayed at the Radisson (we loved it). Second time we stayed at the Marriott. There was alot of construction going on at the time so it definately took away from enjoying the hotel. I'm sure whichever island you pick you wil have a great time.

I just re-read and it said you are going for 8 days. I think I would choose Aruba. There are more variety with restaurants and I think more things to do in general on the island. Enjoy - I wish I were going!!!!
