Traveling moms with toddlers
If you go away and have no intention of renting a car but need some sort of transport (van/limo/car service) from the airport to the hotel, what do you? So many companies I researched don't have carseats available. Any suggestions?!

Re: Traveling moms with toddlers
i think it depends where you are going. we will be prob going to the bahamas in the summer and i called the hotel and they told me that in the Bahamas, you dont need a car seat. I am so not comfortable with this though and will not be taking DS in a car at all (luckily at the Atlantis everything is right there, you dont need to drive). We will only be taking a shuttle to and from the hotel to the airport and DS will sit on our lap (he will be around 14 months old)

I am hoping to find some sort of a shuttle but we'll be going to San Fran so it's a busier ride from the airport which makes me nervous w/o carseats you know? Have a great trip, btw!

You don't LEGALLY need a carseat... you do, however NEED a carseat for DC's safety. There are car accidents in the Bahamas, too.
For DC's safety, I would bring my own carseat. That way you know you have one, you know it is fairly new, hasn't been in an accident already, hasn't been abused, etc.
You should also really have a carseat on the airplane. It is so much safer than having them on your lap. Again, you don't legally need a carseat under 2 on a plane, but for DC to be safe, you do need one.
