Trex Deck Prices?
We're looking at getting our deck replaced with a Trex deck - we want to keep the existing foundation intact and just have the top part replaced. We have no clue as to how much this actually costs. The deck is 25 x 15. Anyone have a ballpark figure they can share? Deck contractor recommendations would also be appreciated.
TIA
ETA: The deck is on the second floor.

Re: Trex Deck Prices?
I just had a quote $7800 for a 12x12 but that was for a brand new deck - it might be cheaper to just replace the. Planks

Thanks for your reply - Is it a first or second floor deck?

Re: Trex Deck Prices?
We are doing it ourselves, we had the same idea as you. Keep the base the same, just replace the top planks.
After doing some research, we read that the trex needed to be secured every 12 inches, not every 16 inches as our old pressure treated wood was done. So we needed to replace all the joists (sp?) - and basically redoing the whole thing except the interior frame.
You may want to measure your current planking to see the distance they are secured - to see whether or not you can reuse the current joists or will need new.
Our deck is 12x16, and materials alone is about 3K.
