I would vote for Trump but I don't think they would ever let him win.
I never understand why people hate him so much. Yes he was a loud mouth, inappropriate speaker. He had a past but how many other Presidents had sketchy pasts? Clinton, Nixon, Biden. Our government sucks they all work against each other no one is out for the good of the people. I at least felt Trump was fighting for what was good for us.
I'm sure I'm the minority but it seems like aside from Trump the last few administrations are trying to destroy the country
Totally agree with you on this, and he he ran again, I will vote for him, but like you said, they will do ANYTHING to stop him from winning, just like the last election.

That's like when Bloomberg ran the City it thrived. He was a businessman. People don't realize what all this means for their children. The freedom to choose what you want to do, who you want to be etc.....
Trump = bad because the news media said just like now Covid bad, Vaccine good
Trump bad, Biden good.
News is powered by the same people who want to rule the country and they don't care about us!
Exactly. They all want power, they all are bullies. They know who they can and can not bully and they could not bully Trump and hated him for that.

Let's go Brandon is a perfect example of either him NOT getting 80 million votes or people REALLY regretting that they DID indeed vote for him. I take the first option.

If after all this time and all of the corruption in his administration you STILL can't understand why people "hate" him then nothing that anyone says now will make you get it.

This is why I don't engage on this board.. True Liberal response......... So tell me. You can hate a persons personality but you can't deny he did AMAZING things for the United States.
We are such a MESS right now. No products, prices skyrocketing, people are so divided and the number one song on iTunes is about our president. Its just wrong
And please tell me how Biden got more votes then the best loved president Obama???

The totality of Trump's corruption and destruction of this country can be summed up by one singular event...........the January 6th insurrection.
There is nothing else to say and no argument to be had. The ONLY "amazing" thing Trump did for this country was how he was able to divide it and bring it to its knees in just a matter of a few short years.
Thank God he's out of office.

I respectfully disagree if you feel that Trump divided this country then you are not an american.
The "insurrection" was planned. Of all the riots that were going on all the destruction that occurred but this one had TOP billing.
The current ruling government is EVIL. and more corrupt then ever before. Everything they did was rigged and planned to ruin America.

Re: Trump 2024
What do you think would be different today if Trump had won the 2020 election? Do you think that gas and oil would have not gone up? Do you think the problems with the supply chain would not have happened? Do you think the Delta variant would have been contained? Do you think inflation would have been kept below 3% even with GDP in 6.7%? Do you think migrants would have suddenly stopped coming to the borders?
Some of the above are happening globally which would indicate is't not something that the current administration - any administration - would have been able to prevent. What do you think would be different?

Of the items listed - the largest differences would've been in gas prices and immigration. Gas prices wouldn't have gone up as significantly AND migrants wouldn't be coming to the border at the same rate they are now.

\
Gas prices are primarily driven by supply and demand. The president has VERY little to nothing to do with gas prices. If Trump won, we'd still be faced with high gas prices as we went from a global pandemic where nobody was going anywhere nor traveling by plane to the world opening up again.
With things opening up, demand for gas went up thus higher prices at the pump. This was to be expected. I am not sure why anyone is shocked they are paying significantly more than last year when we were in the midst of a global lockdown.

Again, if after all of this time someone actually believes that Trump is great, Biden is evil and the insurrection was "just another riot" then there is NOTHING that anyone can say nor any evidence to the contrary that will convince them otherwise.
Moving on.........................

VB, stop trying to stir up drama on this thread. It's quite unnecessary. Both the other poster and I stated our opinions and there isn't anything else to say. Neither of us will convince the other to change our minds about Trump so I'm moving on for the sake of keeping this thread under 42 pages long. Sorry to disappoint you.

Yes - and they are also impacted by the shutdown of the Keystone Pipeline which happened as soon as Biden took office.

The Keystone Xl - the northern leg - ( as the Keystone southern leg already is already completed) pipeline was never to provide gas for the US. It also was never intended to stay in the US as the majority of the product would be exported. I do agree that migration to the southern border may have been less but there were caravans in 2018. But i do think migrants thought it would be easier to enter the US and that is the increase in numbers. But, there was also a huge backlog of migrants at the border waiting in Mexico due to the shutdown with Covid.

I agree.
And that administration will take down their own to make things go their way.

What amazing things did the Trump administration do? I'm not being snarky as I am curious because every presidential administration is going to have pros and cons. All his boosts about job creation and middle class income increases went away quickly in 2020. His jobless claims may have hit an all time low but then his unemployment hit highs not seen since the Great Depression.

Incorrect. Current gas prices are not being affected in any way by the shutdown of the Keystone project. This is (pre and post) COVID driven, basic supply and demand.
----------------
Keystone XL, other Biden policies don't affect today’s gasoline costs Many critics point to Biden's decision on the Keystone XL pipeline as fueling the gas price spike, but experts say there's no such connection.
The extension of the Keystone pipeline, first proposed in 2008 by TC Energy based in Calgary, Canada, was rejected by former President Barack Obama in November 2015 but later approved by Trump in March 2017 . Biden then suspended the project in January. And on June 9, TC Energy announced it was terminating the project.
Even if construction wasn't halted, the Keystone XL pipeline wasn't in operation and therefore wouldn't have an impact on current gas prices, said Finley of Rice University.
"That was something that would impact down the road," he said.
David Dismukes, economist and executive director of Lousiana State University's Center for Energy Studies, agreed, telling USA TODAY the pipeline would have had a "longer-run impact in providing a diversity of supply for refineries in the Gulf Coast."

Trump 2024
Honestly, he could have cured cancer, but once he mocked a disabled reporter and called our veterans losers, his policies and whatever he could have done for this country didn't matter to me anymore. After what I saw him do to that reporter, NOTHING he could ever do would me make me support him. He is a mean spirited bully, plain and simple. I could never tell my children I voted for someone who makes fun of people when I tell them it is not acceptable for them to do so.
