There is going to be a seismic shift in government after this election. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a complete overhaul of the requirements to be president, along with party/committee changes. The RNC is scrambling, they themselves didn't realize the severity of Trump's candidacy and the dire straits we now face. They were like every other American who laughed alongside Trump until the train went off the tracks and left everyone wondering what the hell had happened. They cannot control him - however much a part can control a candidate, that is - but now he's embarassed and torn their party apart that they are just begging to be thrown a life raft.
I don't see Federal requirements changing, but I can definitely see RNC and DNC party changes as soon as the election is over.
Can you elaborate? Just curious.
I ask because I wonder about this myself. The thing is Trump is so controversial and scary that the things he is saying are distracting people from the fact that his few articulated platforms are standard Republican tenets straight from the party platform.
Republicans by definition want to take away a women's right to choose, reinstate traditional marriage, prioritize gun rights, oppose a pathway to citizenship even for productive residents, etc. etc.
So I just wonder about the viability of the party going forward.

Now, you may not agree with some or even all of the man's policies, but anti-Christ, really? They have repeately harassed this man for 8 years to prove or reveal his identity. They basically asked a black man, because he's in a position of power, for his papers. How is this not racism? They would NEVER ask that of a white man. HRC will be faced with the same level of sexism for the duration of her tenure as Obama has faced racism for the last 8 years. It's so infuriating.
I do believe in your sentiment about the millennials not standing for this. What these "but I have a black friend" racists, xenophobes, misogynists need to realize is this country is changing at a rapid pace, whether they like it or not. The face of this country is not the same as it used to be. What used to work doesn't work anymore. The times they are a-changin. Their policies and stances won't change, just requirements to be a candidate. They already have requirements, and there was talk about changing some of them a few months ago (they've changed requirements mid-campaign before).
Requiring tax returns (not just asking for them), more serious vetting of candidate's history, allowing the party heads to have more control of selecting the candidate, etc.

This was a joke, and while absolutely a dig, it's hardly nasty and obviously drawn from the headlines. I'd be hard pressed to believe you haven't heard more about the 2nd amendment and the NRA in the last 2 years that in the 10 prior altogether. I certainly have.
And on my Facebook feed I only see hateful, racist, homophobic, sexist comments from Trump supporters attacking democrats for being democrats. The Clinton supporters on my feed only attack Trump. What's the point??

no idea what crimes Hillary has committed but I can't believe anyone that considers themselves very educated would ever stand by Trump. No one has told me why they would be if its simply because they hate Hillary fine but IMO I don't understand how these educated people can pretend that he isn't somewhat of a sexist, racist, etc. Unless of course they are partially that way too which is fine; you have a right to feel that way.
Even if he isn't a sexist racist etc I don't get how people think he is qualified at all to be running our country. IMO he should have started a little smaller maybe try being a senator, mayor, governor something before jumping into trying to be president

Thanks for this, great read! So true! Unfortunately, I don't think the populaton will ever become this educated. There's too much good reality tv to watch, which is exactly what this election became ever since Trump entered it.

I'm sorry a career politician 30 + years who has essentially done nothing for the people. Her name is synonymous with scandals. Really are people proud when they #Imwithher. That's some scary shit. Let's remember this is not the first time at the I want to be President rodeo for Hillary. Her own party voted so much against her last time that they nominated Obama..a much lesser known candidate at the time. Wonder why???
The crimes she SHOULD have been charged with were dismissed because she doesn't play by the same rules everyone else does...everyone knows this. No way in HELL had someone else in a lesser position would have gotten away with all she did. The fact that charges were even considered against her is crazy to me. She did a crappy job at best as Secretary of State and now we want her for President??? She can't even keep track of emails or bother answering numerous distress calls but we want her to be in charge of our service men and women.
Someone who has spent her whole life in politics and doesn't even know what C stands for??
I pray that one day we have a strong woman President..someone who I would proud to have my two daughters look up too. Hillary is definitely not that person.

Regardless of all the crap the media is spinning about polls etc, I think it's going to be a tight race...if she was so great she would have this election in the bag no question especially considering her running mate.

Who is saying he's the best choice? I doubt anyone really feels like that. BTW lets dismiss that Hillary admires someone who wanted to extinguish the undesirables (i.e. people of color), how about her being against gay marriage her whole POLITICAL career until it conveniently didn't benefit her to take that stance anymore??? This all during her political career. Is that not the same?? So her views have changed, things that she said in the past are no longer valid?? Don't see the double standard??
I'm not saying Trump is the best candidate by a long shot and as a matter a fact everyone who I know voting for him didn't want him as the Republican candidate but at this point what choice do we have?? It's him vs. her and IMO he's the less of two evils inexperience and all..

Yes, her views have changed.
It's normal for views to evolve over time. Or it should be, anyway.
That is far more logical than Trump's waffling.
As he said, "Everything's negotiable."
To find that acceptable but to criticize someone for changing with the times flies in the face of facts and logic.

I totally understand why you feel the way you feel about Clinton. I don't agree with you, but I'm not going to argue about it. She comes with a lot of shade and there are plenty of questionable things happening around her, but some of the things she's been blamed for are INSANE. I mean, I'm about to start handing out tin foil hats to people.
Yesterday I saw a video about the people who have mysteriously died around her, and while there were definitely a few that are questionable, JFK Jr. was on the list. He wasn't the only one that seemed to have died due to circumstances that absolutely had nothing to do with Clinton, but it's this kind of nonsensical propaganda that make her supporters write off the bad things she may have done. The Kennedys had way more clout and political power - there ain't no way the Clintons made that plane crash.
Just like when Bill Clinton was on trial for the Lewinsky scandal... the republicans came for him SOOOO HARD for cheating on his wife. Cheating on his wife, with an intern, which is absolutely an abuse of power and offensive to me as a woman, but my tax dollars were spent on this witch hunt and when Clinton said hey, we should really be checking out Osama Bin Laden right now instead of investigating me (for being a pig), the response was that he was trying to deflect the issue. 
My point is right wing propaganda is destroying this country, far more than any tree-hugging, lets save everyone and make the government pay for everything socialist-liberal nutjob ever could.
All of that said, I can understand why you hate Clinton. I can understand why you say you will never ever vote for her. I can respect it even - which doesn't matter because I don't know you.
But how anyone with even the slightest understanding of how our government works, and even the tiniest affection for our country can say they believe Donald J. Trump is more qualified to run our country over just about ANYONE in politics, and certainly Hillary Clinton, is absurd. I'm sorry, but it's absurd. What few ideas he discusses generally fall under fascism, not capitalism and most of them are impossible for him to achieve (because CONGRESS - the real b@stards in thsi country) or unconstitutional. He inspires hate, oppression, bigotry and ignorance.

And Trump has his own criminal charges to deal with at the moment.
I'm sorry a career politician 30 + years who has essentially done nothing for the people. Her name is synonymous with scandals. Really are people proud when they #Imwithher. That's some scary shit. Let's remember this is not the first time at the I want to be President rodeo for Hillary. Her own party voted so much against her last time that they nominated Obama..a much lesser known candidate at the time. Wonder why???
The crimes she SHOULD have been charged with were dismissed because she doesn't play by the same rules everyone else does...everyone knows this. No way in HELL had someone else in a lesser position would have gotten away with all she did. The fact that charges were even considered against her is crazy to me. She did a crappy job at best as Secretary of State and now we want her for President??? She can't even keep track of emails or bother answering numerous distress calls but we want her to be in charge of our service men and women.
Someone who has spent her whole life in politics and doesn't even know what C stands for??
I pray that one day we have a strong woman President..someone who I would proud to have my two daughters look up too. Hillary is definitely not that person.
Trump has his own set of issues..yes but IMO he is the lesser of two evils hands down. Trust me I never ever thought I would type those words. Regardless of all the crap the media is spinning about polls etc, I think it's going to be a tight race...if she was so great she would have this election in the bag no question especially considering her running mate.
I totally understand why you feel the way you feel about Clinton. I don't agree with you, but I'm not going to argue about it. She comes with a lot of shade and there are plenty of questionable things happening around her, but some of the things she's been blamed for are INSANE. I mean, I'm about to start handing out tin foil hats to people.
Yesterday I saw a video about the people who have mysteriously died around her, and while there were definitely a few that are questionable, JFK Jr. was on the list. He wasn't the only one that seemed to have died due to circumstances that absolutely had nothing to do with Clinton, but it's this kind of nonsensical propaganda that make her supporters write off the bad things she may have done. The Kennedys had way more clout and political power - there ain't no way the Clintons made that plane crash.
Just like when Bill Clinton was on trial for the Lewinsky scandal... the republicans came for him SOOOO HARD for cheating on his wife. Cheating on his wife, with an intern, which is absolutely an abuse of power and offensive to me as a woman, but my tax dollars were spent on this witch hunt and when Clinton said hey, we should really be checking out Osama Bin Laden right now instead of investigating me (for being a pig), the response was that he was trying to deflect the issue.
My point is right wing propaganda is destroying this country, far more than any tree-hugging, lets save everyone and make the government pay for everything socialist-liberal nutjob ever could.
All of that said, I can understand why you hate Clinton. I can understand why you say you will never ever vote for her. I can respect it even - which doesn't matter because I don't know you.
But how anyone with even the slightest understanding of how our government works, and even the tiniest affection for our country can say they believe Donald J. Trump is more qualified to run our country over just about ANYONE in politics, and certainly Hillary Clinton, is absurd. I'm sorry, but it's absurd. What few ideas he discusses generally fall under fascism, not capitalism and most of them are impossible for him to achieve (because CONGRESS - the real b@stards in thsi country) or unconstitutional. He inspires hate, oppression, bigotry and ignorance.

And yes, this link might be from a liberal leaning site but there are quotes in here from numerous conservatives who foresee some frightening consequences of a Trump presidency, many of which stem from the fact that he literally has no clue what he is talking about but, worse, doesn't realize that.
